Speaking With Agents
Every athlete thinks they are going overseas after college. We can help with that.
Reality Check: Overseas Basketball Isn’t Just a Backup Plan—It’s a Business
Too many athletes assume that a decent college career—solid stats, a few accolades, or a starting role—is enough to secure a professional contract overseas. The truth is: it’s not.
Playing internationally is not a fallback option; it’s a global business with high standards, fierce competition, and limited roster spots. Every year, thousands of players finish college thinking they’re headed to Europe or elsewhere, only to realize that the overseas market is looking for more than just talent.
Teams are looking for:
Professionalism on and off the court
Adaptability to new cultures, languages, and playing styles
Film, recent workouts, and verified pro experience
Players who bring value, leadership, and consistency—not just a highlight reel
Even top college performers are passed over if they can’t show that they’re ready for the next level of commitment.
To go overseas, you need more than a résumé—you need a plan, a network, and the willingness to outwork players who are just as hungry as you.
Too many players believe their college coach can just make a few calls and land them a pro contract. That’s not how it works—and it can get both of you in trouble.
A college coach is not a licensed agent
If you still have NCAA eligibility, it’s an instant violation
Even after college, it’s a conflict of interest and often illegal
Overseas teams and pro leagues expect:
Certified agents who know how to handle contracts, visas, and taxes
Clear, legal communication—not backchannel deals
A professional rep who can protect your money, rights, and future
If a coach tries to "help" by acting as your agent:
They can ruin your eligibility
They might get your deal thrown out
They can cost you real professional opportunities
This isn’t about loyalty. It’s about doing things the right way.
