The Vermont Coyotes are proud to host a sanctioned 2 on 2 basketball tournament designed specifically for 5th and 6th grade athletes at this time with other dates coming out for other age groups soon!. This event is built to create a fun, competitive environment where players can showcase their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game in a fast-paced setting where every possession matters.
Taking place on June 13th at 9:00 AM at Barre Town Recreation Area, this tournament brings together young athletes from across the area for a full day of basketball, energy, and community.
This is a true 2 on 2 format with no substitutions, meaning it’s all about you and your teammate competing together from start to finish. Games will be played as 10 minute games or first to 12 points, win by 2, keeping every matchup competitive and exciting.
The entry fee is $75 per team, and the tournament will feature a structured bracket with a maximum of 20 teams. Once all 20 spots are filled, registration will close immediately, so early sign-up is strongly encouraged.
Throughout the day, there will be food, snacks, music, and prizes, creating an atmosphere that goes beyond just basketball and makes this a full experience for players and families.
Important for parents: Parents are required to stay on site for the duration of their child’s tournament run, or until their team is eliminated. This helps ensure a safe and organized environment for all participants.
Vermont Coyotes 3X3 Basketball Tournament!
The Vermont Coyotes are bringing an exciting and fun 3v3 basketball tournament to the Barre Town Recreation Area, and this is your chance to get involved, compete, and enjoy a great day of basketball with the community.
Whether you’re coming to win it all or just looking to hoop with your friends, this tournament is built for all levels. It’s about competition, energy, and having a great experience on the court.
The tournament will take place on June 13th starting at 9:00 AM at the Barre Town Recreation Area located at 46 Websterville Rd in Barre, Vermont.
Entry is $250 per team and the tournament is limited to 20 teams total, so spots will fill quickly. The format is double elimination, which means every team is guaranteed more than one game. Games will be 12 minutes running time or first to 15 points.
The winning team will take home $1,000 cash plus their entry fee back.
Each team may have up to 4 players. This is an adult tournament where ages 16 and up may enter. Each team must have at least one 16 or 17 year old player and at least one female player.
This is more than just basketball. There will be food, music, and giveaways throughout the day, creating a fun atmosphere for players and spectators alike.
Only 20 teams will be accepted and once the tournament is full, registration will close. The official registration deadline is June 1st.

For the first time in the Aud’s 85-year legacy, the hardwood floor now proudly displays the identity of a pro basketball team. This iconic venue has hosted countless Vermont high school championships and community events, but never before has it featured a professional team logo at its center. The Vermont Coyotes, an emerging franchise in the American Basketball Association (ABA), are proud to call Barre home—and this moment makes that official.
